mpich2python software package provides MPI-enhanced Python interpreter (MPICH2 based version), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mpich2python
mpich2python is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mpich2python package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mpich2python *
You will get with mpich2python package name, version, architecture and description in a table
